Yannathan is a suburb of Melbourne, Victoria and is about 75 kms southeast of VIC's capital city of Melbourne. In the 2011 Australian census the population of Yannathan was 213 when there were 99 Females and 114 Males living there. Yannathan is on the edge of the former Koo Wee Rup Swamp and is 9 km north-east of Lang Lang. The topography is undulating to flat, and before drainage works were carried out farmlands could be waterlogged when the Lang Lang River flooded.
